Baroque Brickyard

Meets

Franz Kafka

The Café, as the entire complex of Baroque buildings, is named after the former brickyard, which was opened in 1781 by the professor of engineering sciences, Franz Anton Leonard Herget. Bricks with printed initials "A H" are still part of many monuments to this day.

Right next to the museum of Franz Kafka. The Prague native author of the world-famous existential novels, would have certainly been in disbelief about the idea of his own museum, when he wanted his best friend to dispose of all his works.
